Teacher Directions: 

  • Copy the problems onto different colored paper, one color per problem set

  • Cut the problems out and place into a ziplock bag or envelope

  • Place students into groups of THREE

Student Directions: 

  • Each person take out one problem of the same color out of your bag.  Example is shown above.

  • Hold the problem to your head.

  • The person that is holding the bolded problem needs to add the other two polynomials together.  This would be the third problem in the picture.

  • The other two people will check the answer and give help if needed.

  • Repeat previous steps until you run out of problems.

You could modify this to adding fractions, multiplying fractions, dividing fractions, combining like terms, subtracting polynomials, etc.
